Moseamedi relishing the opportunity to get more game time at Stars
We are just a day away from the new Absa Premiership season, there are so many games that promise to be mouth-watering. Teams have beefed up their sides in order to compete in the league and get reputable positions at the end of the season. We caught up with Free State Stars new loanee signing Judas Moseamedi. The striker has been part of Cape Town City since its inception in the 2015016 season. Ea Lla Koto has brought the Bafana international striker on loan as a replacement of Siphelele Mthembu who went the other way to the Citizens.
The Tzaneen born striker managed to grab 11 appearances last season for the Cape Town side and only managed to score only once.
It was a very simple, I saw that I was not going to be tough again for this season, so I contacted the chairman for a possible move and he actually agreed with me
The Nedbank champions will be hoping that Moseamedi quickly finds his scoring boots so that he can help his side continue from the scintillating display of football that they showed last season. He joins Eymael’s side on a season-long loan.
Its a season long, City knows what I can do on the field and so when I asked to leave, Chairman told me he won’t let me leave the club. So it was either a loan or I stay at City.
Moseamedi first task for his new side will be a huge task that will come in the form of Bidvest Wits, the striker has made the team travelling to Bidvest Stadium for the clash and hopefully, he will be spearheading the attack. Bidvest has also made a couple of quality signings like the likes of Bantu Mzwakali, Brighton Mhlongo, Vuyo Mere and Deon Hotto. The last time Free State Stars visited Bidvest Stadium they came out top with a 1-0 victory courtesy of a Thamsanqa Teyise goal.
We are well prepared and Wits are a solid side but we are looking forward to the game and I am confident that we will come back with a victory
The match takes place at 18:00 at Bidvest Stadium
